Playfish’s Gangster City Ratings Soar High With Fans

Yesterday I read an article on Playfish’s Gangster City that inspired me to write this post as I don’t think the article properly reflects the fans and new players feelings of this new application. I daily read through the forums and read the reviews. Sure there are a few negative comments but not every app is for everyone thats bound to happen especially with as large a fan base as Playfish holds which is millions of fans.

 Playfish’s Gangster City is hitting it big with its fans. The Gangster city Fan Page shows a good reflection of this with an average of 4.6 star review of the game and in actuality it’s probably statistically higher but if you read through all the fans comments some of them were posted back in december during Pre Beta testing when all the bugs were still being sorted out. Here are just a few examples of the reviews the game is getting.

“Soon to be the next Mafia Wars but with that Playfish touch on graphics “

“there r many game like this- mafiawar, mobster2. the gameplay system is a same. but this game has better graphic and picture. unlike the other this game isn’t bored me with the whole text rpg game! sriously i think we should have something unique for this game “

“Pretty cool, I like the story line element to it rather than just doing random jobs for no reason like in the other Mafia games. “

Playfish Fan Creates Some Amazing Gangster City Fanart …

Gangster City has only been released for about 3 days now and all ready fans are starting to show their appreciation for the eye candy graphics  that accompany this game. 

I had the privledge of speaking with Tami , the artist who drew the character in the photo. I was curious as to what it was exactly that inspired her to do this character drawing and this was her response “I was so inspired to draw after seeing Gangster City graphics and illustrations.  So I drew what I imagine my character to look like. (She’s a girl, even though I know we’re all dudes in the game lol). I tried to make it look like GC drawing style.”

Forum users were in instant awe of Tami’ s talent and many were border line begging for Tami to draw them their own Gangster City  character , but unfortunately Tami does not take commissions at this time.  Guess we will all have to wait till she’s famous as im sure with this talent she is defiantly bound to be one day.

Playfish Annouces Donation Site For Haiti Disaster Relief Via Mercy Corps

Playfish announced today to all its fans a means to Safely donate funds to the People affected by the Haiti disaster. If $100,000 in donations are made via their page over the next two weeks, Playfish will give every player in Pet Society, Restaurant City and Country Story a special item as their way of saying thank you. Please consider donating if we can afford internet surely we can afford a small donation to help the hundred of thousands of people affected. Even a dollar helps.

Playfish Has Hit the Mark Again.. New App Gangster City Released Today!!!

Just when you think Playfish couldn’t possibly do another awesome app to top the other ones then they come out with Gangster City.  I highly recommend you try out this app on Facebook. The animation and graphics are unbelievable you will not even think you are playing a Facebook based application.

Gangster City keeps me on the edge of my seat … wanting to play more and more.  Ive sent out invites to all my friends that play other Mafia style games as im sure they will be blown away with this new application.
