Pet Society Pets Travel From Aussie to Scotland

Those that havent already checked out the new items released yesterday in Pet Society will be pleased with this weeks variety of items. Taking us all the way from Australia to Scotland.  That would explain why yesterday pets could be heard singing “Land Down Under” for far away.  Official word has come in that mysterious sound was indeed bagpipes being played by Hideeni, and the Mayor singing. Unfortunately (or fortunate for us) he was not performing at the Sydney Opera House, but rather  from his mansion which holds a beautiful view of the Sydeny Opera House from his living room window.

Along with the new items released is a new fishy the Kangaroo Fishy  apparently it has been caught with Choc Top Ice-cream. In the cash coin shop Spectacular Mystery Box which for 5 CC will give you an item no longer available in Pet Society. My first box I got a rare pink Piggy!!! These are only available for a limited time. You will also find in the cc shop a Secret Garden that unlocks when you buy all 3 fairies. Although it is a secret garden your friends are still able to see and visit you and your pet in the garden.

Pet Society Pets Can Be Heard Singing Familiar Tune For Miles After New Items Released

A stroll after new item release today around Pet Society will find you humming to a familiar tune that can heard for miles around

  “We come from a land down under
Where Pets all go and the Mayor pounders
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover.” (Yeahhh!)

There have been some reports of this being heard as far as Restaurant & Gangster City, these same reports have also claimed sometimes you can  hear faintly one voice singing all mumbled and off key. One can only speculate where this mysterious sound is coming from, possibly the Mayor performing at the Sydney Opera House or hmmmm perhaps that’s Hideeni playing the bagpipes…..

I don’t want to spoil all the fun of seeing the new items !!!! That’s all the hints I’m giving for today hop on down to Pet Society and see for yourself!! 

New Pet Society Mystery Boxes Released Down Under Theme Coming?

4 new Mystery Box items have been released in todays Pet Society update. The new items found within the mystery boxes are  leading forum users to speculate if an Aussie styled theme is coming on Sunday’s 12 pm GMT time update.  Australia Day is celebrated on January 26th and is also refered to as Invasion Day. Along with the normal 3 new Mystery Box items released today was an extra special item for a Playfish fan you can read about it here.  Sure Hope Tristan’s ready for his new found fame being a pet celebrity can be tough work , just ask  the Mayor 😉

Pet Society Update Has Pets Eyes Flashing Dollar Signs!

Today’s Pet Society Update brings great new things to your pets.  Now when you spin the lottery wheel you will get a chance to share 50 coins with your friends!!!! Within minutes of the updates going live my news feeds were flooded with posts to claim my 50 coins . You better hurry as there is only a limited number that can be claimed, as the saying goes “You Snooze You Loose “! Best to keep your eyes on your news feed to watch for these posts popping up . Tika is so excited  she is already off spending all her extra coins on mystery boxes ! This week they have added 4 new items to the boxes you can read all about it on the Pet Society Blog. I’ve also noticed that now I’m getting 10 coins for washing/cleaning a pet rumor has it this is not a glitch but intentional WOOT!

This weeks new Pet Society theme “Retro” is simply Dy-no-mite! Taking your Pets  back to the 70’s when words like Narly, Far Out, Hubba Hubba and Dang were part of peoples everyday vocabulary.   Lots of items to choose from including , Groovy Teddy, Groovy Sofa, Groovy Mirror and many more Groovy items. Only thing missing is some roller skates… hmmm if only those cash coin ice skates could turn into some … ok back to reality! ~Pet Society Festive Decorating Contest Entry~

For my First official entry on this blog I’ve decided to do a post on my Favorite Playfish Game Pet Society. Recently Playfish held a contest i entered which I placed 11th place out of thousands of entrys !!!

Id like to start off by saying my decision to enter the contest was an easy one. I didnt enter to really win any prizes It was to show my appreciation for Playfish and their games. To me Playfish has givin me more then just a love for there games, I have met alot of wonderful people that I now call friends from all over the globe. My wii cant do that for me !!! 🙂 

My design idea of the cake,  I didnt really plan out ahead of time I just started making the cake and came up with ideas as I went along. I find thats always the best way in creating something is to go with your instincts. The theme of the contest was “Festive Decorating ” Playfish Style, although Im highly addicted to all 11 of Playfish’s games Pet Society was my first true love and is what turned me from a non online gamer to Highly addicted social gamer                                  

The Mayor topper was a must as he is the main character in Pet Society and rumor has it around Pet Society that he has an obsession with meatballs so I wanted to incorporate that into the cake. In total it took me 3 days total to make this cake. I have 3 year old twin boys so making it involved some major multi tasking to say the least. Everything on the cake is 100 percent edible and made by myself except for the board I put the cake on.The cost to make a cake like this was about $40.00 CDN to make the entire cake the fondant and icing and everything else is all made from scratch, by doing it this way you save alot of money just takes more time. By far my biggest challenge with this cake would of had to be the Pet Society Mayor ….. I shaped him out of rice cripsies and melted marshmellows then covered him in hand cut fondant pieces for the face and clothing ect. not an easy task on my good days.

Personally I think the cake tasted delicious, but I may be a bit biast being that I’m one that made it lol ! I served the cake at our annual Tacky Christmas Party we have every year to about 20 friends and they all said it was great some even went for the seconds. The kids loved that they could eat the trees and all the decorations. As for the Mayor hes still in my freezer in limbo. Didnt have the heart to eat the poor guy or toss him out soo not sure maybe I’ll reuse him for something for next years contest!
